I’ve been having such a hard time getting out of this funk that I’m in. With everything that is going on in politics and the world it’s easy to get sucked in and spend way too much time reading depressing articles and feeling down about the future. I’m trying to do a better job of staying on top of current events without letting the news be all consuming.

- To Obama with Love, and Hate, and Desperation – it’s kind of a long article, but it’s totally worth a read. It gave me all of the feels and made me so sad to know that he’s not in the office anymore.
- I did quite a bit of travelling for work in January. It was so fun to see some new places and eat some amazing food. Italian food at Cafe 2825 in Atlantic City was outstanding. In terms of dessert? You can’t beat the Belgium Waffle with Speculoos and Sweet Cream Ice Cream from Belgium Sweets in San Antonio.

- How are your New Year’s Resolutions going? I feel like I was sick for 90% of January. Ugh. So my working out routine isn’t going quite as well as I had hoped. Crossing my fingers that this cold goes away soon so I can get back at it.
