This was my first time trying panna cotta and I’m kicking myself for taking so long to taste it. For some reason I always assumed it was a fussy dessert that would require expensive ingredients and a complicated cooking technique. Instead, it’s ridiculously easy. I had all of the necessary ingredients in my kitchen already and the panna cotta was chilling in the fridge in less than 20 minutes. Easy peasy.
The texture of this panna cotta is impossibly smooth and creamy and I love how the flavor of the yogurt comes through. It should be served buried (berry-ed? ha!) in a mountain of fresh berries with a drizzle of honey for sweetness.
If you’ve poked around on the blog, you may have noticed the Recipe Bucket List on the menu bar. I have a never ending list of recipes I want to try and I thought this would be a fun way to check off recipes as I try new foods and techniques. I’m so excited that I discovered how easy and delicious panna cotta is. I can’t wait to try it out with different flavor combinations.
